We would like to give you information that will hopefully be useful if you are thinking about choosing Kyoto cultural capital of Japan, for your study abroad.
A very famous season in Kyoto is the sakura season, and many events happen at this time. You can see the beautiful blooming sakura trees at many places in Kyoto such as within the city, Arashiyama, etc. Some famous places to see the sakura are at Kiyomizu temple, Maruyama Park behind Yasaka shrine, the Kyoto Botanical Gardens, and Heian Shrine, and my personal favourite is along the Kamo river between Kitaoji and Kitayama. It is a very natural place to view the sakura trees and the area isn’t crowded by tourists so you can really relax and enjoy yourself.
The sakura bloom at different times depending on place and weather, but early April is usually the peak. So, grab a camera and be sure to enjoy Kyoto’s beautiful sakura!
